The service

Screencheck is a free, browser-based tool for organising and comparing screenshot versions. It requires no account. All image processing occurs in your browser; see the privacy policy for detail on data handling.

We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the service at any time without notice. We may also change these terms; the current version is always the one on this page.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use Screencheck for any unlawful purpose, or to process material you do not have the right to process.
• Attempt to interfere with, disrupt or place unreasonable load on the site or the servers hosting it.
• Misrepresent Screencheck as your own product, or remove or obscure any attribution when redistributing exported material that carries it.

Your content

You retain all rights to the screenshots and other material you use with Screencheck. Because that material stays in your browser and is never uploaded to Screencheck servers, we acquire no licence or claim over it whatsoever.

You are solely responsible for the material you process and for ensuring you have the rights to do so.

Data loss

Projects are stored in your browser's storage and can be lost — by clearing browsing data, by using private browsing, by extensions, or by the browser evicting data under disk pressure. Screencheck holds no server-side copy and cannot recover lost work.

You are responsible for exporting your own backups. Screencheck accepts no liability for lost projects or lost screenshots.

No warranty

Screencheck is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that measurements, colour values, contrast ratios or difference calculations it produces are accurate or suitable for any particular purpose. Verify anything that matters independently.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Screencheck and FORKR shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or business, arising out of or in connection with your use of the service — whether or not we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Since the service is provided free of charge, our total aggregate liability to you is limited to zero.

Third-party services

The site may load advertising or analytics scripts from third parties such as Google. Those services operate under their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their conduct.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising from them is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts there.
